Aged Care Entertainment – Senior Sing Alongs with Pianist
Music for listening and participation
Kerry’s interactive Aged Care entertainment sessions draw on her experience as a performer and also on her training and experience as a teacher of music and adult education.
Music can act as a can-opener for memories, and Kerry chooses music which is likely to resonate with Aged Care audiences. She invites participation wherever possible.
Sing-along songs and music activities have always been popular amongst aged care centres.
You may have heard of the benefits of music therapy. Singing activates the long-term memory. By using familiar repertoire, participants show increased emotional communication and improved relationships. Aged Care interactive music sessions improve participants’ morale, self-esteem and general well-being. Music sessions are a non-threatening way of opening up communication, replacing isolation with interaction.
Kerry’s Aged Care entertainment sessions are always well-received. References from Diversional Therapists are available on request.
