Interactive and fun is how my daughter describes Kerry’s Piano Studio lessons; having been going to these lessons for 3 years now, I think this proves this statement.

My daughter loves her music as a result of Kerry’s interactive and fun teaching style; with my daughter  having taken her first AMEB QLD Piano Qualification last year and achieving an A for her (and Kerry’s) effort – what a confidence booster and sense of achievement she gained!

Kerry has been playing for Hilder Road State School Choirs since 2008. She sight-reads, transposes, makes up accompaniments when required, has a great sense of rhythm and style, follows the conductor and always seems to know which parts need extra support. She has also accompanied me a soloist on numerous occasions and I couldn’t ask for a more sympathetic and musical associate.

Kerry has been working as the pianist for my Eurythmy classes at the Samford Valley Steiner School since 2010. Her versatility as a musician fits her to this role very well. She is called upon to sight-read, come up with improvised pieces on the spot, and play substantial works from the classical repertoire. She is a sensitive accompanist and a reliable performer. As well as playing for classes she has accompanied choirs and solo performers at concerts and provided music for dramatic productions. Kerry is wonderfully patient, flexible, and quick to respond to changes, and I greatly value her work and support.

My seven year old daughter started piano last year with Kerry. Kerry has a kind and gentle nature which my daughter responds to well and is progressing nicely in her endeavours to learn the piano.

Our son has studied piano with Kerry for many years and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment. She is an exceptional teacher with a gentle, consistent and supportive approach. We can’t recommend her enough

My two boys have been learning piano with Kerry for four and three years respectively. They enjoy their lessons and have made good progress. Kerry is a talented and flexible teacher who tailors content to suit each student. My youngest son particularly enjoys performing at the annual student concert which he finds very motivating

Kerry has been teaching my 11 year old son for 2 years. She has a wonderfully calm, gentle manner, but is still firm with him and the results speak for themselves. My son plays musically and he has progressed quickly.

Kerry encourages him to play music that interests him (such as the theme music from a video game he loves) as well as using music books. This keeps him interested and he will sometimes compose his own tunes and record them to play to Kerry at his next lesson.

I highly recommend Kerry to anyone looking for a supportive, encouraging teacher who always strives to bring out the best in her students.
